At St Matts we’re all about kids knowing and loving Jesus alongside their families and friends. We want St Matts to be a place where kids love coming along, have loads of fun and engage with age-appropriate teaching and activities about Jesus from the Bible.

Holidays Kids Program

A creaky old ship. A cheeky old parrot. A map where X marks the spot. Join us as we climb the rigging, scrub the poop deck and search for the greatest treasure ever!


Ahoy Mateys is an exciting 4-day voyage where kids in K-6 will embark on fantastic activities, games and crafts in a safe and fully supervised environment. Kids will set sail to discover who Captain Jesus really is and uncover what the Bible says about him. Presented by Wild Street Church, Maroubra in partnership with St Matts, Botany.

Kids on Sundays

On Sundays we love doing church together. Kids start in the main church building with their parents, and then they’ll head out part-way through with their leaders. There are 2 age groups for our kids program. 

  • Creche (Infants and pre-school): In creche, kids will play together, eat food, sing songs, do craft, and learn about Jesus from the Bible. Parents will need to sign their children in and out for the Creche program. We have morning tea together so it’d be great to bring your kids a lunchbox and drink bottle so they can enjoy food they like, but we have plenty of food to spare! 

  • Primary (K-Yr5):  In primary, kids will run around and play games, learn about Jesus from the Bible, chat, do crafts, and eat food. Kids will head out during the service with their leaders, but you’ll need to register them before church starts. 

To help us care for your kids well, please complete the registration form.

If you’ve got youth-aged kids (Yrs 6-9), we have a program for them too.

During the week

Botany Bears

Come and hang out with us during the week at Botany Bears. A playgroup for 0-5yrs and their carers every Wednesday during the school term.

Partnering with Parents

We love whole families being able to learn about Jesus together, not just on Sundays, but during the week as well! Our Daily Bible Readings are daily doses of God’s word for your week and come with Family Questions and quick activities for you to get into the Bible with your kids during the week. Safety

At St Matt's we're on about ensuring a safe community for your kids. We do this by:

  • All leaders have a valid Working with Children Check and Safe Ministry check, and have completed Safe Ministry training.

  • All programs are led and run in a safe, age appropriate manner

  • Clear reporting procedures are in place for leaders and parents
