what is CHRISTIANITY EXPLORED

Christianity Explored is a relaxed and informal group-based course with space and time to think about the big questions of life. 

What’s the best news you’ve ever heard? Was it surprising? Did it change the way you think? Or was it something you wanted to be true but didn’t dare hope? 

The course takes a journey through Mark’s gospel discovering more about the life of the person at the heart of the Christian faith – Jesus Christ. 

who is the course for

The course is for anyone open to finding out more about Christian faith. It is an open course for everyone regardless of age, culture, gender or sexual orientation. It is also open to non-English speakers as the video teaching  can have subtitles in several major languages.

How the course works

Christianity  Explored is a 7-week course involving  a short Bible Study, video teaching, group discussion, tea/coffee and dessert. The course is offered during the day and evening at the St Matts Community Hall in Botany. Each session goes for approximately 75 minutes.

  3. Sunday June 2 - 4:00-5:15pm (to be confirmed)

  4. Sunday June 9 - 4:00-5:15pm (to be confirmed)

  5. Sunday June 16 - 4:00-5:15pm (to be confirmed)

  6. Sunday June 23 - 4:00-5:15pm (to be confirmed)

  7. Sunday June 30 - 4:00-5:15pm (to be confirmed)

what is expected of you

You are encouraged to ask or answer questions, or you can just sit and listen. You won't be asked to pray or sing. There will be no pressure to believe or make a commitment during the course.

Who runs the course

The course is funded by the people of St Matts. The course facilitator is Hendry Wan. Hendry is a long-standing member of St Matts and has over 20 years of experience as a course-trainer and discussion group leader. Hendry prides himself in creating comfortable learning environments for adults to enjoy.
